Forest Schools
At Hopton C of E Primary Academy, we are delighted to be starting to offer Forest Schools and by the end of this academic year, all children should have a weekly session. Forest Schools is designed to foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning in a natural outdoor setting. This unique educational experience allows children to engage in hands-on learning through exploration and play in the forest area on our school grounds.
The Forest Schools concept is rooted in the belief that children benefit immensely from the rich learning opportunities presented by the natural environment. At Hopton, our trained Forest Schools practitioners guide the children through structured activities that promote teamwork, problem-solving skills, and environmental stewardship. Whether building dens, studying wildlife, or learning about the seasons, students gain invaluable insights and skills that contribute to their holistic development.
We encourage all parents to support their children's participation in the Forest Schools programme. It is an exceptional way to enhance their education and personal growth. For more information on how your child can benefit from this opportunity or to get involved as a volunteer, please do not hesitate to contact us. Together, we can provide our students with the tools they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
